BETH HILLEL ROMA
PROGRESSIVE JEWISH COMMUNITY
RELIGIOUS LIFE
We are committed to providing our members with religious services for Shabbat and holidays, as well as celebrations for rites of passage such as circumcision, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and marriage. We hold our religious services primarily in person and occasionally on Zoom, led by our members and our Rabbi who visits us every month from Jerusalem. We also offer a Tot Shabbat program so that parents can bring their children with them to services while ensuring they have fun and receive Jewish education.
We recognize the equal freedom of all members to participate fully in the religious and social life of the community, without discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation. We welcome mixed couples and their children into the community, encouraging partners who wish to give their family a Jewish identity to personally explore Judaism. We also welcome requests for conversion from those who wish to find a meaningful home within the Jewish people.
